Unlike solar panels, where China achieved near-total manufacturing dominance, the wind turbine industry has proven more resistant to Chinese market capture. The reasons reveal important lessons about clean energy supply chains.

Structural Differences

Wind turbines are large, heavy, and expensive to transport. Local manufacturing and service requirements favor regional champions over global supply chain optimization.
